This week I explored a new local shop, Specter, and it is by far one of the most unique shops I have ever been in! As soon as you enter the store, you will become fascinated by all of variety of goods sold at Specter.
While exploring the store in Walker's Point, you'll come across unisex fragrances, body oils and exfoliants as well as crystals, taxidermies and tiny bat skulls. Specter truly has something for everyone and makes a great destination for unique gift shopping!
Haven't heard of Specter before? Specter opened it's doors this last fall with a soft opening in November 2017 and a grand opening in January 2018.
Specter is truly one of a kind and offers home and personal goods that you won't find anywhere else in Milwaukee. You guys HAVE to stop in to Specter to shop around and meet the fantastic curator/owner, Kate! Kate was so sweet, genuine and warmhearted that you feel even more comfortable shopping around. Here's a direct quote from the Specter website:
"I created Specter to make something tangible of the philosophies I carry with me: think, do, help, travel, eat, experience, be honest, try a new thing; and bring a piece of everything home with you - however abstract. These are challenging tasks. They can be scary for a lot of people but I want to draw attention to the transcendence that comes with personal confrontation. Many artists and makers showcase that beauty and honesty in their handmade pieces, and it is from those craftsmen and women that I began to collect the items you’ll find in this shop."
If that doesn't make you want to shop Specter, I don't know what will! I hope you guys enjoy the shop as much as I did.
Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 10am-7pm & Sunday 11am-6pm
